Cogdill Farm Supply is now hiring grain truck drivers! You will be driving a new Peterbilt day cab, hauling grain and other commodities from our elevators, or picking up grain from local farms. We are currently seeking a full-time driver to be based in Panama.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-truck/trailer in a safe, professional manner and maintain a clean truck/trailer.
• Operate a chemical or fertilizer tender truck, or deliver NH3 seasonally as needed.
• Haul grain, dry fertilizer, bulk or bagged feed, liquid feed, or other commodities as needed.
• Pick up grain at customer bins or fields and deliver to other destinations as directed.
• Properly complete daily load sheets and on-farm grain pickup receipts.
• Properly handle tickets, BOL’s, and other transport documentation.
• Know the basic mechanical skills necessary to operate and maintain a commercial vehicle.
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and regular maintenance/repairs as needed.
• Assist all departments with operational duties as needed.
• Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class-A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements.
• Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program and maintain current DOT physical.
• Understand the seasonality of crop production and the in-season time commitment.
• Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience driving a truck, hauling grain, or operating agricultural equipment.
• HazMat Endorsement
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience and/or training.
• Basic computer skills.
